This is a high-contrast developer with good keeping properties and high capacity. It is especially recommended for continuous-tone scientific and technical work that requires higher-than-normal contrast. This developer has special applications for reversal processing. Similar formulation Kodak D19b. When needed replenish with D19R.

Do not dilute. For best results keep temperature between 18–24°C. Develop with continuous agitation in a tray: infrared films for 7 minutes, Super Panchro-Press Type B and Super Ortho-Press for 4 minutes. Develope with intermitent agitation in a tank: infrared films for 9 minutes, Super Panchro-Press Type B and Super Ortho-Press for 5 minutes.
