One of Kodak tropical developer for negatives, similar with Focal Universal MQ. It has the property of preventing excessive softening and swelling of the gelatine, making it especially suited to development at high temperatures and particularly for tropical development.

Do not dilute. Une following table for tank developing time:

Group 1: slow-developing films such as “Super-XX” miniature film; “Super-XX” sheet film; “Ortho-X” sheet film.
Group 2: normal developing films such as “Plus-X” 35 mm film; “Panatomic”-X miniature film; roll films; commercial ortho sheet film; “Panatomic”-X sheet film; P.1200 plates.
Group 3: rapid-developing films such as P.1500 plates; P.300 plates; O.800 plates.
Group 4: very rapid-developing such as lantern plates; O.250 plates; B.40 plates.

These times are for development with moderate agitation; they may have to be increased or decreased according to the degree of agitation employed. For dish development reduce these times by about 20%.

Note: At the begining of developement it is essential to agitate the film repeatedly, so that uneven development is avoided.

When development is complete rinse the film in water for 1 or 2 seconds and then immerse in the tropical hardening bath for 3 minutes.

Rinsing between hardening and fixing may be omitted if there is some danger of the emulsion becoming too soft; otherwise a rinse is advisable. For fixation use a hardening fixing bath.

The temperature of the washing water should not exceed 36°C.
