An inexpensive and generally useful positive developer for both printing and enlarging papers. The formula is of good service when the photographer desires one developer to suffice for all purposes, thus avoiding the preparation of a special formula for each type of paper.
|Mix chemicals in order.
|Sodium sulphite anhydrous
|Sodium carbonate anhydrous
|Water to make
Do not dilute as the solution is ready for use. Only for enlarging paper giving warm-black tones by direct development, should the solution be diluted with an equal quantity of water.
Times of development:
- Contact printing papers (gas-light): 1 minute.
- Enlarging papers (chloro-bromide and bromide): average 2 minutes.
